A description and rates for our Value Added Services

Effective October 1, 2009

1. Excess Valuation Liability                     2% of excess liability declared if in excess of $2.00 per lb. Minimum Charge $15.00  (Note: In instances of extraordinary value, the company reserves the right to require either special packaging, additional charges or decline to accept liability).
2. Residential / Non Commercial Delivery $3.50 per 100 lbs                                        Min charge $35.00                                    Max charge $150.00
3. Re-Delivery of freight                          When through no fault of Pemberton Transport Co Ltd; delivery is not accomplished at the first attempt, and re-delivery is required, a charge equal to the original charge will apply plus  temporary storage charges if re-delivery is not completed with in 24Hrs.            
   
4. Storage Charges                                $18.00 for receiving and shipping per pallet.  $20.00 per week per pallet Dry goods.          $25.00 per week per pallet Cooler goods.      $35.00 per week per pallet Frozen goods.      (Note: carrier does not assume liability for perishable freight over a weekend or holiday).
5. Re-stacking or Sortation                         For shipments requiring re-stacking or sortation at delivery as required by shipper or consignee, or for the break down of skids in order to complete delivery.                       $1.75 per 100 lbs.                                    Min Charge $20.00                                 Max Charge $150.00
6. Trailer Rental/Demurrage                     $ 125.00 per day plus fuel & Trailer delivery (Temperature Controlled Trailers)
7. C.O.D (Cash on Delivery) (FEE)           2% of the C.O.D. Amount Min Charge$15.00
8. Appointment Delivery Charge                 $25.00 per shipment or occurrence.
9. Change in Bill Of Lading Terms / Redirect shipment / incorrect address.  $35.00 per request or occurrence.
10. Sunshine  Coast Deliveries                      All Sunshine Coast deliveries are currently subject to a 3.5% Ferry surcharge.
11. Dangerous Goods Service              $15.00 per shipment 1 - 999 lbs            $40.00 per shipment 1,000 - 9,999 lbs  $65.00 per shipment Over 10,000 lbs.
12. Frozen Goods / Ice Cream                      At customers special request (Mandatory for Ice Cream deliveries.) $25.00 Min Charge for small orders. For larger orders rule of thumb is 10lbs of dry ice per 100lbs of frozen product. (contact office for current pricing)

Tractor Trailer Unit $100.00 per Hr or portion thereof. Holidays and weekends and after hours a surcharge of 50% will apply. When equipment and manpower is delayed for shipper or consignee convenience beyond the free time allowance, a fee per hour is levied to cover vehicle, trailer and driver cost.
2. Additional Labour / Extra Man            $45.00 per hr (Min 2 hours) weekdays          $65.00 per hr (Min 4 hours) Saturdays    $85.00 per hr (Min 4 hours) Sundays & Holidays.
3. Dead Call                                             When through no fault of Pemberton Transport Co Ltd. Customer has called in a pick-up to dispatch and truck has been dispatched to shippers location for pick-up and goods are either not ready or there are no goods to pick-up and call was not canceled by shipper in time a Charge will apply.  Min Charge $35.00 or 1 hour charge of the vehicle dispatched for the service.
4. Zone Charges                                      Some deliveries and dead calls to outlying areas will incur Zone Charges. Zone Charges will vary according to the distance beyond the rated area.
5. Special Services / Hot Shot / Rush Deliveries                                               Please contact our office for charges and current availability of this service.
6. Customs/ Broker / ACE Manifest Administration Charge                             An administration fee of $10.00 applies per shipment to all inbound and out bound shipments between Canada and US.
7. Finance Charges on Overdue Balances A Finance Charge Applies to all Overdue balances 2% Monthly 26.2% Per Year   
   
8. Density (or Cube rule)                        Shipments are subject to a minimum density of 10lbs per cubic foot. Shipments utilizing over 10 lineal feet are charged @ 1,000 lbs per lineal foot of space used.
